I’m Darian, a computer scientist and software engineer based in Ithaca, NY.

I'm an enthusiastic problem-solver from Atlanta, GA, dedicated to applying my computational and mathematical skills to challenges across various domains. Before beginning my studies at Cornell, I graduated at the top of my class from Morehouse College's computer science department, earning membership in the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

I've held several academic and industry positions that have shaped my diverse perspective on problem-solving. I was first introduced to industry software standards during my time at Google. I later pursued academic research, studying Human-Computer Interaction at Stanford University and Mathematical Biology at Morehouse College. After gaining experience in both domains, I joined an industry research lab at Adobe prior to starting graduate school.

My academic research opened the door to a position at IBM, where I worked with their Analog AI research team developing next-generation hardware to accelerate AI applications. Following that, I joined AMD as a Scientific Machine Learning researcher, contributing to our understanding of how to build heterogeneous systems for machine learning workloads in high-performance computing settings.

The combination of my experiences in both academia and industry culminated in my final Ph.D. internship at LinkedIn, where I worked as an Applied Research Intern on capacity forecasting for their data centers.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exploring new areas of mathematics, playing pool, and exercising. I'm currently studying a curriculum in Quantitative Finance to understand how mathematics and computer science are applied in other disciplines and to continue feeding my curiosity.
